تأثر كفاءة النقل في العراق بتكرار ظواهر الجو الغبارية
Abstract
Iraq is characterized by a high frequency of dust weather phenomena by virtue of the nature of the dry climate that prevails over more than 80% of its area in addition to desertification conditions and the deterioration of soil properties. All these factors contributed to the increase in the frequency of the phenomenon and its frequency increases during the dry season months due to high temperatures and wind movement activity, especially during Duration from April to October and dust phenomena contribute to the deterioration of the extent of vision on the external roads, especially on the highway linking Baghdad and Basra due to the nature of the region and the spread of sand dunes, which caused many traffic accidents and as Dust phenomena also affect the air transport activity of cold wear of the engine (fan or propeller blades), causing surface damage leading to weak exhaust gas flow deterioration and a gradual loss of engine performance. Additional damage caused to the outer surface of the aircraft. Corrosion if dust particles are deposited on the combustion walls, turbine blades will form glass deposits with a rough surface which may lead to rapid performance loss which causes potential risks during takeoff or landing operations
