Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Researcher Responsibilities: Researchers seeking to publish their research in the International Journal of Religions must submit a written request for publication, along with a pledge not to submit it to another journal or publish it. The researcher pledges that the research is not plagiarized or copied from university dissertations and theses not cited, and bears all legal consequences in the event of inaccurate information.
- The research must not exceed (25) pages.
- It must be typed on a computer, and three copies (including the original) must be submitted along with a CD, accompanied by a pledge from the researcher, along with the researcher's address and email address.
When printing the research, the following must be adhered to:
• The research must be printed in Word (Word 2003/2007).
• The Arabic font must be Traditional Arabic, and the English font must be Times New Roma.
• The title of the research must be written in bold and in font size (18). If the research is in English, the first letters of the words must be written in capitals.
• The names of the researchers should be written in bold and in font size (16), and the titles of the researchers should be written under them in font size (15), including the department/college/university, and the email address. • Arabic research should be written in the following order: (research title, English abstract, Arabic abstract, introduction, materials and methods, or the scientific section according to the researcher's specialization, results and discussion, conclusions, if any, then sources. For English research, the Arabic abstract should be written before the English one, provided that the abstract does not exceed 250 words.)
- Research should be written in accordance with the journal's rules.
- Adherence to the rules of citation, documentation, and publication ethics, as the journal adopts the standards of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which is the guiding principle for authors, researchers, and other parties involved in publishing research in journals, including reviewers.
- Research should not be submitted to more than one journal at a time, unless substantial changes are made to the research or the title. Research should also not be submitted to more than one journal at a time, as this is considered contrary to publication ethics.
- Researcher is not entitled to publish their research in other journals unless they have received a copy of the original manuscript. Official rejection by the Journal of Religions, or in the event that the journal officially approves the request to withdraw the submitted research.
- The contributions of others to the research must be accurately cited and the names of the researchers must be listed in the research, with the names arranged in order of their scientific contribution.
- Disclose to the journal's editorial board any conflict of interest that may affect the evaluation of the research submitted for publication.
- If a serious error is discovered in their published research, they must inform the journal's editorial board to delete or correct the error. The researcher(s) must inform the journal of any errors in the research materials or editorial errors so that the necessary corrections can be made. When the authors discover a major error or inaccuracy in the published research or research results,
- The researcher must revise their research in accordance with the referees' suggestions. If the researcher does not agree to adopt the suggested amendments, they must provide a logical justification for this. If convincing reasons are not provided, the journal reserves the right to reject publication.
